בְּאַחַת יִתְקָעוּ beachat yiteqau (H259 + H8628) literally means “with one they will blow” where תְקָעוּ teqau (H8628) means to push or drive with force a pole into the ground, such as when setting up the tent; to blow the trumpet in the sense of throwing out the sound.
Traditionally, the Tekiah is a long, single blast of the shofar or trumpet with a straight, plain, smooth, continuous note.
