Galatians 3:16-17, Josephus, and the Jerusalem Targum confirm that it was 430 years from the time YHWH spoke to Abraham and not 430 years in slavery to the Egyptians.

“Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your seed”, which is Messiah. Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by Elohim in Messiah, the Torah, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.” (Galatians 3:16-17)

“They left Egypt in the month Xanthicus, on the fifteenth day of the lunar month; four hundred and thirty years after our forefather Abraham came into Canaan, but two hundred and fifteen years only after Jacob removed into Egypt.” (Antiquities of the Jews by Flavius Josephus 2.15.2)

“…And the days of the dwelling of the sons of Israel in Mizraim were thirty weeks of years, (thirty times seven years,) which is the sum of two hundred and ten years. But the number of four hundred and thirty years (had passed away since) the Lord spake to Abraham” (Jerusalem Targum)
