πεντηκοστή pentēkostē (G4005) literally means “the fiftieth day” and is the same as the Hebrew שַׁבָּתוֹת Shavu’ot (Weeks) celebrated yearly the seventh week after the Passover, in grateful recognition of the completed harvest.
