Commonly translated as “prophetess” נְּבִיאָה naviah (H5030) is the feminine noun of the masculine נָבִיא (navi H5030) and literally means “seed inside” and is represented by fruit, since fruit hides the seeds inside it. A prophetess is a woman who announces or utters the words or instructions of Elohim received through a vision or dream (cf. Numbers 12:6).
