YHWH |
Prophets are men or women (Exodus 15:20; Judges 4:4; 2 Kings 22:14) moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21) to speak the words of God they receive through a vision, dream, or directly spoken by God whereby He puts His words in their mouth (Numbers 12:6; Deuteronomy 18:18). “He who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, exhortation, and consolation…that the assembly may be built up (1 Corinthians 14:3-5). Because the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets, two or at most three prophets in the Congregation can prophesy one by one, while the others discern.
